A Note From Us
Forty years ago, we began a life together that has taken us places we never could have imagined.
Along the way there have been adventures, challenges, laughter, family, friendships, travels, and more memories than we could ever fit into a photo album.
In June 2028, we want to celebrate this milestone in a way that feels very much like us. We are bringing together two things that mean a great deal to us—travel and the people we love.
We’re going to renew our vows in Mexico, and we would love to have you there with us.
This is not meant to be a week where everyone follows a schedule or spends every moment together. Enjoy the resort. Sleep late. Explore Mexico. Spend the day at the beach. Make the vacation your own.
During the week, we’ll have a few special private moments when we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate forty years of marriage, renew the promises we made to each other, and make a few new memories together.
We truly hope you can be part of it.
The week is yours to enjoy. The celebration is ours to share.
The Reason We’re All Here
This may be a week in Mexico, but somewhere between the beach days, pool time, dinners, and adventures, we’re also gathering for something very special.
Invited vow renewal guests will be included in private celebration events during the week at Finest Riviera Cancun.
Forty Years Later
The heart of the week will be our vow renewal ceremony—a chance to celebrate the promises we made forty years ago and the life we’ve built together since.
But just as important to us is sharing the occasion with the people who have been part of that life.
That’s why this guest page is separate from the larger Puerto Morelos group trip. Although everyone is enjoying the same resort week, the anniversary celebration will include private moments specifically for our invited family and friends.

Your Home for the Week
Our anniversary celebration is taking place during a seven-night stay at Finest Riviera Cancun, an all-inclusive resort near Puerto Morelos on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
Vacation + Celebration
We chose a full week because we want this to feel like more than traveling to a ceremony and going home.
Finest Riviera Cancun gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the trip differently. Spend your days at the pool or beach, enjoy the restaurants and bars, relax at the resort, explore Puerto Morelos, or plan your own adventure somewhere in the Riviera Maya.
When it is time for our private anniversary events, we hope you’ll join us. The rest of the week belongs to you.

Some parts of our June 2028 celebration are still being planned. We’ll continue updating this private guest page as ceremony details, event times, attire guidance, and other information are finalized.
Planning Is Underway
Our celebration trip is planned for June 10–17, 2028, and we would love to have you with us for the entire week.
We also understand that a seven-night vacation may not work for everyone. The exact date and time of the vow renewal and other private events are still being finalized.
Once that schedule is confirmed, this page will make it much easier to determine which dates are most important if you cannot attend for the full stay.
Finest Riviera Cancun is an all-ages resort and works very well for families.
If children are included as part of your invitation or travel party, please include them when you RSVP so we can account for everyone when planning our private events.
If you are unsure who is included in your invitation, simply contact us before making your arrangements.
The ceremony will take place during our June 10–17, 2028 stay at Finest Riviera Cancun.
The exact ceremony date, time, and resort location have not yet been finalized. Those details will be posted on this private guest page once confirmed.
Dress guidance has not been finalized yet.
Because this is a destination celebration in Mexico, we expect the style to reflect the resort setting rather than a very formal traditional wedding.
We’ll provide specific attire guidance once the ceremony location and event details are confirmed, so there is no need to shop for anything just yet.
Invited vow renewal guests are being included in the private celebration events we are arranging during the week.
Specific details about the ceremony, private gatherings, meals, or other celebration events will be provided here as the plans are finalized.
If any optional activity involves a separate guest cost, that information will be clearly identified before anyone is asked to make a decision.

Your RSVP tells Mark and Lisa whether you expect to participate in the private anniversary celebration.
Your Finest Riviera Cancun accommodation is reserved separately through the travel booking process coordinated by Our Family Travel.
No. Different guests can choose different accommodations based on their travel party, preferences, budget, and current resort availability.
Finest Riviera Cancun offers standard Finest accommodations as well as upgraded Finest Club and adults-only Excellence Club experiences.

Guests traveling internationally should plan to have the appropriate valid travel documents required for travel to Mexico and return travel.
Because our celebration is not until June 2028, entry requirements should be checked again closer to departure.
If you already have a passport, now is a good time to look at its expiration date rather than discovering a problem shortly before the trip.
Airfare should not be assumed to be included with your resort stay unless your individual travel quote specifically states otherwise.

Outside our private celebration events, this is your vacation. You can remain at the resort, visit Puerto Morelos, snorkel the reef, explore cenotes, consider another Riviera Maya experience, or simply do nothing at all.
We want everyone to enjoy the week in the way that works best for them.
